As a child-centered organization, the Christian non-governmental organization InnerCity Mission takes on the responsibility for children in our support network and worldwide. As an arm of the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI), led by Chris Oyakhilome himself, we strive to make their lives easier so they can be functional adults contributing to their communities and always bringing joy to their parents.
The contributions of the InnerCity Mission for children
The InnerCity Mission for Children provides various services to impoverished children, including education, healthcare, and nutrition assistance. The organization operates schools, clinics, and food distribution centers in some of the most disadvantaged communities around the world.
One of the keyways that the InnerCity Mission for Children makes a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children is through its education programs. The organization operates schools in urban areas where access to quality education is limited, providing children with the opportunity to learn and grow. The schools offer a range of subjects, including math, science, English, and the arts, and are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to children of all backgrounds.
The InnerCity Mission for Children is a powerful force for positive change in the lives of disadvantaged children worldwide. Through its education, healthcare, and nutrition assistance programs, the organization is making a real difference in the lives of children living in urban areas.
Partnership with Christ Embassy Accra, Ghana Zone
Pastor Biodun Lawal and the Partners of Christ Embassy Accra, Ghana Zone, worked hard to organize a memorable Christmas outreach event for the children of the Bukom inner-city community. They had spent weeks organizing the event, collecting donations of toys, clothes, and food from members of their church and local businesses. They planned games, activities, and a special Christmas meal for the children to enjoy.
As the children played and had fun, Pastor Biodun and the Partners of Christ Embassy Accra took the opportunity to share the message of Christmas with them. They told the story of Jesus’ birth and the meaning behind the holiday.
Throughout the day, Pastor Biodun and his team took the time to speak with each child, getting to know them and sharing the love and message of Christmas with them. Many of the children were from disadvantaged families, and for many of them, this was the only Christmas gift they would receive.
After the activities, the children sat down to a festive Christmas meal and received free copies of the “Rhapsody of Realities for kids”. It was a special treat for many of the children, who may not have had the opportunity to enjoy such a feast on their own.
Overall, the organized Christmas outreach event was a huge success. The children had a great time, and they learned about the true meaning of Christmas. Pastor Biodun Lawal and the Partners of Christ Embassy Accra were grateful to be able to give back to their community and spread joy during the holiday season.
