This campaign will end in a Global Food Distribution to reach indigent children and families numbered in the 7 Billion Mandate. By supporting this campaign, you are ensuring that hope through the Gospel and help through food support gets to the needy speedily.

Food Distributions would be carried out in the following strategic locations to benefit indigent children and families; 1. Undeserved and hard to reach Communities 2. Schools in undeserved Communities 3. IDPs/Refugee Camps 4. Orphanages 5. Other Child Care institutions. Despite the rise in the number of people living in poverty, we believe that everyone deserves to live in dignity. The InnerCity Mission (ICM) through programs and initiatives is committed to ending extreme poverty and creating a world where every child has equal opportunities to thrive and fulfill their God-given potential. Building forward means no one is left behind.

This is the dream and the legacy of the founding father of the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International, Chris Oyakhilome himself.

Living with Dignity

Poverty is not solely an economic issue, but a phenomenon that encompasses a lack of both income and the basic capabilities to live in dignity. The word poverty is used to describe a state of not having enough resources to cater to one’s basic needs. Globally, over 700 million people live in extreme poverty with women and children as the vulnerable groups.

People living in poverty experience many interrelated deprivations that prevent them from realizing their rights and perpetuating their poverty, the fight against poverty isn’t only charity, it’s about lending your voice to the plight of the indigent in our world.

Eradicating poverty has always been a top priority at the InnerCity Mission. The InnerCity Mission has had remarkable achievements over the years, which are clear testimonies of the unwavering commitment to finding lasting solutions to the issue of poverty.

“Global poverty is one of the very worst problems that the world faces today”, confirmed founding father, Chris Oyakhilome, “the poorest in the world are often hungry, have much less access to education, regularly have no light at night, and suffer from much poorer health. Making progress against poverty is, therefore, one of the most urgent global goals.”

Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in devastating socio-economic disasters, reversing decades of progress in the fight against poverty. As we embark on the post-COVID recovery and get back on track with the Sustainable Development Goals, hunger remains the world’s most solvable problem, and yet after decades of steady decline, the number of people who suffer from hunger began to slowly increase again. The world is not on track to achieve Zero Hunger by 2030.

There are so many ways you can impact the lives of needy children and families through various, charities, initiatives, and campaigns, and you can make a difference with COFI.

To be a part of this campaign, you can; Sponsor a day’s meal with $2 Sponsor a week’s meal with $14. Sponsor a month’s meal with $60. Sponsor a year’s meal with $730 _ Your participation in the Hunger Action Month (H.A.M) campaign would greatly help to provide much-needed food supplies and meals to feed hungry children and needy families we serve.
