Believing in the future of indigent children and taking action to reach and meet their needs, is the core of our work at the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI) and the InnerCity Mission (ICM).

Through its various initiatives, COFI, which is a faith-based non-governmental, non-political organization under the direction of its visionary and legendary founder, Chris Oyakhilome, seeks to offer structured support for impoverished children across the world in order to guarantee access to qualitative education, medical care, physical and spiritual nourishment thus enabling them to lead normal,  competitive and useful lives in their communities and society.

Founding father Chris Oyakhilome made a profound statement in 2004 when he said:

“Remember, every child is your child! Help children, don’t ignore children. They are our extension; they are our future. No matter how dirty or untouchable they are, think again. You were just that small one day, but you were fortunate to have someone help you. Many of these are fortunate to have us if we would only open our hearts, our minds, and our eyes and ignore them no more. We need to help give them a home, we need to help educate them, we need to help clothe them. As small as they are, as needy as they are, as frustrated as they are, they have dreams. We can help make those dreams come true!”

Something big happened in the month of October. Thanks to all our partners, volunteers, and sponsors, we counted 306 days of impacting the lives of the needy so far this year. We look forward to doing and accomplishing so much more with the remaining 59 days of the year in the #EndChildPovertyNow Campaign.

In October, through this campaign, in commemoration of the Annual United Nations International Day for the Eradication of Poverty which was on October 17th, we networked with our Partners and Volunteers globally to carry out simple good deeds that would make a difference in the lives of the indigent and inspire more people to take action in building a better world for all.

Our goal is to show the world that ending poverty is possible and we won’t stop until every child, man and woman can enjoy a life free from poverty which is our at the InnerCity Mission.

Pray for the Children in our Support Network

“How precious is your loving kindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of your wings.” (Psalm 36:7)

Across our network of schools, we are saddled with the responsibility to pray for children in our support network. Today, let’s pray for supernatural protection over our pupils. They are divinely protected; they walk in wisdom and they bring joy to their parents always.
